Hello fellow Disney Lovers! I will be starting a new fun series to my blog where i will be giving some fun and cool facts all about Disneyland! So let's get started with out facts for the day!!!
Number 1: Believe it or not but all of the plants in Tomorrowland are edible! According to Disneyland, “the visionary landscaping doubles as a potential farm, projecting an ecologically astute future, where humanity makes the most of its resources.” So make sure next time you enter Tomorrowland to look for some fruits, veggies, spices, and other fascinating plants for a nice churro topping!
Number 2: Making our way to New Orleans Square we find ourselves at the Haunted Mansion. Crazy enough that there is as pet semetary located at the grounds of where all of the 999 happy haunts live! Of course don't worry, there are no pets actually burried there but Disney did decide to add a little humor by putting some pretty cool engravings on the tombstones. For example, An unnamed pet snake who's engraving says, "Here lies my snake whose fatal mistake was frightening the gardener who carried a rake". or Buddy who was clearly a "friend till the end". The original pet cemetery at the Haunted Mansion began in the 1980s with just a few grave statues hidden away on a small patch of lawn on the side of the ride queue, out of sight for most guests. Until 1993 Imagineerers decided to tell some more ghost stories about the pet inhabitants so they added more graves along the ride queue that guests can see today! So next time you are waiting to go onto the Haunted Mansion remember to look out for some ghostly pet graves!
